Job Description

DescriptionLeidos is seeking a Business Manager to support a large enterprise IT contract for the Department of Defense. As part of the PMO team, the candidate will provide direct support and will play a critical role in developing, tracking, and collaborating on our customer and maintaining business functions within the program. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the client and Program Management, serving as a project manager, process expert, and liaison.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Leidos Program Management Office (PMO) to support all aspects of the contract management.
  • Coordinate, conduct and participate in collaboration meetings with, and on behalf of the Government.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; effectively communicate with all stakeholders and facilitate various project related meetings
  • Proactively identify and remediate risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution
  • Identify project resource requirements and escalate resource constraints
  • Ensure project status reporting is accurate and timely and required project deliverables meet quality and compliance standards
  • Managing multiple project initiatives simultaneously, demonstrating strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Provide monthly functional area reports summarizing work accomplished, work planned in next month and important issues occurring during the month
  • Aid in security clearance processing
  • Ensure corporate and customer training compliance of program staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date program documentation to include briefing slides and recall rosters
  • Work closely with all functional support areas to include contracts, project control, security, IT, line management, and human resources.
  • Manage the program?s travel requirements to include reviewing and submitting requests to the government, identifying and mitigating concerns/issues, and tracking costs.
  • Serve as facility POC. Coordinate events and visits, and support incoming staff.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years? experience working as a Project Manager, Program Business Manager, Business Process Analyst, Business Liaison, Systems Integrator, or comparable role managing the implementation of IT systems/projects, either in a Program Management Office (PMO) or for the classified client
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences, both in person and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaboration and teambuilding skills, and the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to resolve all situations in a professional manner
  • Strong leadership and accountability skills with a focus on delivering results
  • Experience in supporting and coordinating across senior-level organizations
  • Ability to communicate with senior management and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing demands and work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations, including schedule management.
  • Working experience in government contracting, particularly related to financial aspects and standard business practices (e.g., familiarity with and ability to interpret statements of work, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, etc.)
  • Well versed with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Lean Six Sigma, Project / program Management, or similar experience
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Clearance:
  • Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this position.
Education:
  • Bachelors degree and 8-12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
