If so, we?d like to hear from you.The Leidos Surface Transportation Solutions (STS) Portfolio is seeking a Marketing and Outreach Manager to support and lead contracts with the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) and State departments of transportation (DOTs). STS?s main clients are the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Offices of Operations, Safety/Research and Development, Human Factors, and Policy. We are growing into other USDOT administrations and into the State and local DOT market. Our projects involve developing marketing, outreach, and educational material centered on helping State and local transportation agencies improve the operations and safety of their roadway networks. The successful candidate demonstrates ambition, vision, and a desire to grow and shape our marketing strategies. The ability to work on a full-time basis within the Washington, DC metro area is preferred. Teleworking is an option.Marketing and Outreach Growth Manager responsibilities:? Business Development & Marketing? Execute communications and outreach deliverables for cutting-edge projects/programs in the STS.? Growing new work in the STS?s marketing and communication?s business area through written proposals and client relationship development, including developing compelling approaches and content, executing marketing and communication projects, and developing project budgets.? Marketing the STS?s technical experience, qualifications, and offerings.? Working with the STS?s internal program areas to develop and lead their marketing and communication growth strategies and tailor strategies and approaches for our clients.? Project and Staff Management? Leading marketing and communication projects, including monitoring scope, schedule, budget, staffing levels, subcontractors, client and team communication, and product quality.? Managing a team of 5 geographically dispersed communications specialists, editors, and graphic designers and grow this group?s role, offerings, and size within the STS.Additional: This role may require occasional travel to project sites (within the US) to support meetings, including meeting preparation and facilitation, writing meeting proceedings reports, and supporting web-conferences and webinars.QUALIFICATIONS:? Requires a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, English, Public Policy, or related field, with a minimum of 8 + years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 + years of prior relevant experience i.e. leading projects.? Be a self-starter who can lead the procurement of new work and grow their team?s business.? Understand the interests and behaviors of multiple audiences and be able to develop exciting and innovative content that inspires.? Have exceptional writing, messaging, and communications skills, with an established portfolio of authored and published marketing assets.? Have experience in leading marketing campaigns.? Have experience supervising and managing a team of marketing and communications specialists.? Have demonstrated experience in the surface transportation sector.? Have the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally -- on any given day you will work with technical teams, proposal teams, our Portfolio?s leads, and our clients.? Have strong copywriting skills to develop compelling marketing products that entice product engagement.? Be comfortable with quantitatively measuring campaign effectiveness and identifying improvement opportunities. Strong Excel skills preferred.? Be highly creative, hardworking, and resourceful.DESIRED SKILLS:? Experience working with federal, state, or local transportation agencies?
