Job Description

Information Systems Security Officer, SeniorKey Role:Provide subject matter expertise support to the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for systems or enclaves Information Assurance (IA) program through security authorization activities in compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF). Maintain operational cybersecurity posture to ensure information systems (IS) security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Perform auditing and vulnerability analysis and develop risk assessments to support Government Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities. Support Configuration Management (CM) processes for information system security software, hardware, and firmware baselines. Manage changes to system and assess the security impact of those changes. Prepare and review documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, A&A packages, Security Controls Traceability Matrix (SCTM), and Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) artifacts.Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
  • Experience with RMF and conducting critical testing of controls compliance
  • Knowledge of Windows or Linux software
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelors degree or 4+ years of experience with cybersecurity in lieu of a degree
  • Security+ CE Certification
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tools, including ACAS preferred
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs)
  • Knowledge of network and protocols
