If this sounds exciting, we?d love to hear from you!About the opportunity:As an integral part of the OSP Engineering Standards team, the Fiber OSP Standards Lead will be a subject leader on all things FTTH network and architectural design. The Fiber OSP Standards Lead will deliver national support and governance to all local market teams through the centralized influence of design standards.This is a completely remote position.What youll be doing:

• Report to Manager, OSP Standards
• Collaborate with design engineering, GIS, network architecture, and local market teams to build, maintain, and continuously improve design standards for all existing and future Ting markets
• Establish timeline driven objectives that support process improvement, documentation consistency, and value engineering considerations
• Attend recurring calls with representatives from the field to gain insight and continually improve Ting design standards and best practices.
• Work closely with multi-functional stakeholders to scale existing design standards, while developing new design opportunities
• Create, maintain, and oversee the change management approval process for engineering design standards
• Produce drawings and schematics to visually aid content within the engineering and construction standards
• Research new market areas for specifics on jurisdictional design requirements and/or limitations
• Perform other duties as requested including possible 10% travel within US

What you bring:

• 7+ years demonstrated fiber construction/design experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Service Provider FTTH designs and architecture
• Wide knowledge of the fiber design lifecycle - ie. KMZs, High vs Low Level Designs, Design Changes, Redlines, As-Builts, etc.
• Knowledge of fiber splicing, aerial and underground standards, centralized versus distributive splits, and current industry design practices
• Familiarity with Digital Transmission and Fiber Optic theory
• Proven ability to build standards documentation, processes, and critical metrics

• You have proficient multitasking ability (prioritize, organize, and schedule tasks) and are a problem-solver (identify, analyze, research, evaluate and resolve)
• You are efficient, organized, and have a proven track record of completing assigned tasks and objectives.
• You have your experience using AutoCAD or other commonly used engineering design software, and you are familiar with Google Suites (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
• You have a bachelors degree in engineering/related field, or equivalent experience
