You will be able to access and complete the application through ?My Draft Applications? located on your Candidate Home page.*Job Posting Title:Assistant Womens Basketball CoachPosition Type:Professional / UnclassifiedDepartment:LSUA Athletics - Womens Basketball (Bob Austin (00012436))Work Location:LSU - AlexandriaPay Grade:Athletic CoachREPORTS TO:* The Women?s Assistant Basketball Coach ? 50% Effort reports to the Head Women?s Basketball Coach.SUMMARY:* The Women?s Assistant Basketball Coach ? 50% Effort will assist with daily functions of a competitive women?s basketball program in a manner consistent with the Athletic Department and University missions.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*Serve as the LSUA Assistant Women?s Basketball Coach ? 50%.* Follow all LSUA, and LSUA Athletic Department policies and procedure* Adhere to all rules, policies, and philosophies set forth by The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC). * Assist in teaching assigned fundamentals and skills during practice and games.* Assist in recruiting of deserving student-athletes for the LSUA Women?s Basketball Team.* Assist in the tracking of the academic progress of women?s basketball players.* Assist in managing women?s basketball camps.* Assist with fund raising events.* Assist in keeping up to date statistics and providing them to the area and state media.* Attend instructional clinics at least once a year to remain up to date on coaching techniques.* Assist in maintaining an ethical and moral code of behavior and living that is expected of the LSUA Women?s Basketball players that are residing on campus.* Assisting in implementing an efficient weight and fitness training program for the LSUA Women?s Basketball Team* Assisting in maintaining equipment and inventory* Perform all other duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor?s Degree or higher in recreation, sports administration, physical education, or related field.* Experience in athletics at junior college or university level, may include graduate level experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:* Knowledge of sports rules, officiating, coaching, and tournament scheduling* Excellent in verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.* Comprehensive computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications.* Ability to operate within and enhance a team environment.* Ability to self-start, be creative, show initiative, and meet established goals and deadlines.* Experience in working summer youth camps.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein or assigned by the Head Women?s Basketball Coach and/or the Athletic Director.Application Instructions:Please attach a Resume/CV, a cover letter, 3 references and unofficial transcripts.
