Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is seeking a VTC AV Engineer tojoin our team in support of work taking place for the US Army Corps of Engineers Revolutionary IT Services (USACE RITS) program.Note:This is a virtual / work from home / remote positionlocated anywhere in the CONUS. 10-20% travel is required.The USACE RITS contract will provide modern and secure enterprise-wide IT support services to approximately 37,000 USACE customers located throughout the CONUS and OCONUS. Services will support the mission needs of USACE?s Headquarters (HQs) located in Washington, D.C., nine Divisions and 43 Districts, to include over 1,500 field and area project offices and two data centers that are currently located in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Hillsboro, Oregon.Responsibilities Include:The VTC AV Engineer is responsible for designing, defining customer requirements, assessing technical solutions and cost for customer requirements, and providing maintenance support for existing systems. The VTC AV Engineer will ultimately work very closely with the customer and the Project management team to deliver commercial and industry-focused solutions as identified in Technical Direction Letters. Projects will span a variety of IT domains such as AV systems and subsystems, Room control systems, web collaboration interfaces for Cloud services such as WebEx, MS Teams, and Zoom, IP network switches, and Security.Job Duties:

  • Primarily responsible for supporting VTC and AV facilities. Defining user functional requirements, developing VTC/AV design solutions, creating ROMs for assigned Technical Direction Letters, evaluating vendor proposals, troubleshooting, problem solving, and providing technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with Government customer(s), stakeholders, and project teams to review solutions
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience
  • Bachelors and 5years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
Required Clearance:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret clearance. Current Public Trust or Secret clearance is a plus.
Required Skills:
  • AV Hardware experience with VTC and AV subsystem hardware such as Cisco, Poly, Polycom, Lifesize, Crestron, Extron, AMX, Pexip, Qsys, bi-Amp. Certifications are a plus. AMX or Crestron programming is a plus.
  • Must have experience with MS Teams, Webex, Zoom, and other web collaboration platforms.
  • Must be an effective communicator, both orally and in writing, and be able to discuss technical issues with customers, project managers, consultants, vendors, architects and engineers to make recommendations and set forth design proposals and guidelines based on current and future technical requirements.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, producing high-quality deliverables and proposal responses through collaboration.
  • Experience in designing large complex Teleconferencing AV facilities which consist of multiple displays, video walls, projection systems, audio sub-systems, video sub-systems, PTZ camera systems, video codecs, and control systems.
  • Must be able to operate with minimal direction for job duties, take personal responsibility, and have a passion to approach all aspects of the job with enthusiasm.
  • Able to bridge the gap between business and technology, comfortably communicating with customers of all levels and translating technology into appropriate messaging
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent technical projects & engineering tasks
  • Strong personal computer & IT skill sets, including but not limited to MS Office, Teams, and engineering design Tools such as VISIO or others.
  • Personal qualities to include integrity, respect for others, personal responsibility, and a passion to approach all aspects of the job with enthusiasm.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with DoD IT or engineering, computer, security or operating systems.
  • Experience with Army, USACE IT programs or contracts
Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000.
