Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is seeking a JIRA System Administrator to support the Chief Information Office at the DEVCOM Aviation and Missile Center located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama to support JIRA Enterprise Software Services .Note: this is a hybrid position - the normal schedule is three days on site at Redstone Arsenal and two days remote. Candidate must live in the Huntsville, Alabama or surrounding area.Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and deploy JIRA applications
  • Develop plugins to extend JIRA capabilities to enhance the Service Desk platform
  • Design, build, and deploy dashboards for JIRA
  • Create custom fields and custom preset filters
  • Test newly created enhancements for functionality and client requirements
  • Identify JIRA related defects and future enhancements
  • Experience in creating reports and dashboards to document configuration and management changes
  • Execute other duties to include upgrading and enhancing existing JIRA projects, defining and executing SDLC task, and documenting and maintain the SDLC
  • Ability to take on project ownership and satisfy requirements up to completion
  • Understanding of information Assurance (IA) systems and practices, such as DISA STIGs, RMF, and system hardening
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelors and two (2) years of relevant experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.Required Skills:
  • 2 plus years of experience as a JIRA Systems Administrator
  • Ability to manage JIRA Service Management (Service Desk)
  • Configure Confluence and JIRA Add-Ons
  • Previous work experience in DoD IT environment
  • Cooperative, able to work as a member of a team supporting an enterprise system
  • Communicative, able to clearly communicate technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Innovative, able to investigate and research solutions to technical problems
  • Ethical, able to adhere to the code of ethics befitting a government contractor
  • Professional, committed to delivering quality work while extending respect to others
  • Positive, able to contribute to making the workplace a comfortable and inviting place to work
  • Strong customer service/client facing skills
Required Certification: Must have a Security + or higher IADT Dod certification prior to employmentRequired Clearance: Must have an Interim Secret prior to start of employment with ability to obtain a Secret; US Citizenship required.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
