Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is seekinga mid-level Systems Administrator (Windows) in Huntsville, AL.Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor systems performance and maintain operations
  • Control access to systems
  • Manage and maintain backups for systems
  • Update, configure, build and maintain systems and support infrastructure
  • Record, troubleshoot and solve issues identified by users
  • Work independently and with other engineers on requirements development, system architecture and system design
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common hardware failures
  • Ability to build a system from warehouse to implementation in support of the mission
  • Execute field operations support for customer event activities
  • Other duties, as assigned by the Sys Admin Team Lead or Infrastructure Lead
QualificationsEducation Requirement:A Bachelor?s degree at least 5 years? information systems engineering and design experience is required. Advanced experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeClearance Requirement: Must possess an active secret clearance or have the ability to obtain one.Required Skills and Certifications:
  • Must have a current Security+ CE along with a current Windows Server Operating Systems Certification
  • Experience with installation and administration of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 environments)
  • Understanding of modern TCP/IP networking fundamentals for local area networks
  • Experience with patching and deploying software products and updates using Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
  • Familiar with managing and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services
  • Experience with Virtual Machines and hardware virtualization technology (VMWare, Hyper-V)
  • Experience with system imaging processes and software (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit,)
  • Experience with Multifactor Authentication and PKI
  • Experience with STIG processes/procedures
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
  • Understanding of Information Assurance (IA) systems: Host Based Security System (HBSS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Nessus and other scanning solutions
  • Understanding of Microsoft SQL components
  • Familiar with Microsoft IIS and SharePoint services in an administrative role
