Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is seeking a System Integration Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama to provide software, systems support design and implementation for the MALET JSIL Aircrew Trainer (MJAT) Program.  About the Program:The MALET-JSIL Aircrew Trainer (MJAT) Program provides a family of systems which provides plug-and-play training capability that converts a current tactical MQ-9 Reaper ER ground control station (GCS) into a training simulator, provides brief/debrief capabilities and multi-system connectivity. The engineer provides UAS/RPA operators the ability to conduct simulation training as part of their qualification and follow-on continuation training to maintain proficiency and currency in all required operator tasks.  Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, network equipment and virtualize assets. 
  • Install configure and upgrade computer components and software.
  • Develop initial documentation and technical specification to IT staff or planning and implementing of new or upgrades or features in the IT Infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolution, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Will work in a team environment to develop, plan and implement new capabilities.
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelors degree with two (2) years of experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree.
Required Security Clearance:
  •  Ability to obtain a security clearance. 
Required Certifications:
  • CompTIA Security+ required
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Intermediate knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare) or equivalent.
  • Intermediate knowledge or understanding of Cisco Switches and Firewalls. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of scripting language is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge with server technologies development (windows deployment server, WSUS, etc). 
  • Strong knowledge in Cybersecurity implementation and Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience and capabilities with Windows, Redhat, and VMWare. 
  • Experience with UAV ground control stations (GCS) or familiarity with UAVs/simulators, MQ9, MJAT, PMATS, etc. tc 
  • Experience in system administration and IT Certification in Linux, Microsoft or CISCO are a plus.
