Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Test Engineer to support the development of Precision Fires Manager (PFM) C2 Software System on Windows 10. The primary work location is located on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.QualificationsDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide software development testing and verification support for various software products/programs developed under the S3I?s Battle Operations Software Suite, with primary focus on supporting the suite?s user requested requirements and functionality.
  • Work on an Agile software test team to design, implement, document, build, and execute functional, performance and unit tests for the PFM application software in a Windows development environment.
  • Collaborate with architect and senior software engineers to ensure quality products.
Qualifications:Minimum of Bachelor?s/Master?s/Doctoral degree in relevant field of study (Computer Science, Software, Electrical, or Computer engineering, etc.) and 7+ years of experience in software development.REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Strong knowledge of Agile testing process and lifecyle
  • Experience with conducting incremental tests during development
  • Experience with running Formal Qualification Tests (FQT)
  • Able to provide input to development team based on testing results
  • Experience with creating/updating test cases
  • Experience with creating automated testing scripts
  • Drive to improve team efficiency
  • Able to lead and teach team members
  • Provide testing estimates and status reports to project management
  • Coordinate with team Field Service Representatives (FSRs) for test integration events
  • Understanding of object-oriented concepts and complex data structures
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with AFATDS, VTT, NGG, Wireshark, FFMPEG, THS, ATAK and WINTAK is a plus
  • Experience with setting up a Closed Restricted Network (CRN)
  • Desire to improve/refactor existing test cases for better efficiency
  • Basic understanding of Visual Studio Code, Git, Atlassian Tools & GitLab
