Job Description

DescriptionSAIC has an immediate need for a Software Systems Engineer to support the Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE)Team located in Huntsville, Alabama.The candidate should have a strong software development lifecycle background. The candidate will participate in a widerange of software activities supporting the development, testing, fielding and sustainment of ASE related products. Thecandidate will help define software requirements, verify that the design of the products meets the design requirements,verify that the test plans and procedures provides coverage of all design requirements and help in the integration ofproducts into laboratories and aircraft.COVID Policy: Prospective and/or new employees are required to adhere with SAICs vaccination policy. All SAIC employees must be fully vaccinated and they must submit proof of vaccination on their first day of employment. Where work is performed strictly at a customer site, customer site vaccination requirements preempt SAICs vaccination policy.QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelors degree withfive (5) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.Required Skills:

  • Experience with standard development processes, methodologies, and tools for hardware and software co-design
  • Experience with a wide range of projects related to all areas of software/firmware system development, applicationdevelopment, and development of internal software tools used for testing and verification of hardware and software
  • Experience with standard development processes, methodologies, and tools for hardware and software co-design[C, C++, C#, and Java]
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with acquisitions program office
  • System engineering process.
