Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is currently looking to hire a Principal Software Engineer to join our MCE/MMC team located in Huntsville, AL!Responsibiltiies Include:

  • Creating solutions in networking, security, communications, monitoring and interoperability
  • Candidate will design, code, and implement standards that are extensible, flexible, and easy to maintain
  • Work with cybersecurity engineers to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities
QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance- Interim Cleaerance required to start; US citizenship requiredRequired Skills:
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum development process
  • Experience with Git, preferably with Gitflow workflow or similar
  • Experience with DevOps principles and practices
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational, time-management, verbal communication, and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with a ?can do? attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to function at a fast pace with multiple projects and associated deadlines
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply software support and troubleshooting methodologies
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with OSGI / microservices development preferred.
  • Experience with socket and/or network programming preferred.
  • Experience with functional programming, reactive programming, and enterprise integration patterns preferred.
