Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama.Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software. Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting.Job Duties:

  • Perform assigned tasks by supervisor who will verify that the objectives are met within the time constraints given.
  • Support Azure and Agile project management and source control/software testing environment.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools; Jira and Confluence.
  • Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.
  • Participate in internal reviews of software components/systems as well weekly ZOOM meetings with our customers.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system, C/C++ and C#.
  • Ability to apply the appropriate standards, processes, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of products.
  • Provide support to TMDE in their developmental programs in replacing legacy test equipment with Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) modernization test equipment hardware. Support required testing of the software/firmware for the developed hardware and perform vulnerability scans to ensure no viruses or Trojans are detected.
  • Support various Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms.
QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelors and zero (0) years related experience; four (4) years of related experience accepted in lieu of degree.Qualifications:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Powerpoint, Excel, and Word).
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment collaboratively.
  • Ideal candidate should be a self-starter who can manage time and expectations efficiently.
Clearance:Candidate must have the ability to obtain a full Secret clearance; Minimum of an Interim Secret clearance is required prior to starting.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
