Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is hiring a Senior Software Tester to join the Army UAS Training Test team located in Huntsville, Alabama (Redstone Arsenal).This is a multi-disciplined team that covers a wide range of testing scopes, including testing physical and virtual network systems, software applications, and UAS control interfaces. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and switching gears supporting complex systemssince this position will be working with multiple operating system types (Windows, Linux, etc.), networking architectures, and across multiple UAS platforms.Develops and executes test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Develops test plans, test schedule, and approach. Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios. Conducts a walk through on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads. Performs and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment. Documents and communicates test results. Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Creates daily test metrics and reporting. Occasionally performs other IT systems engineering activities such as requirements, design, installation, operation, sustainment, and support.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven(7) years or moreexperience.
Required Clearance:
  • Must have an active Interim Secret Security Clearance; must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in software systems testing, software development, and software integration
  • Must have experience testing a series of applications
  • Ability to interact and work closely with the software development team to assist in acceptance criteria and test case review
  • Experience working in a software development environment
  • MS Office products
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile/SCRUM environment
  • Experience developing, executing and reviewing automated tests
  • MS Azure experience
