Job Description

DescriptionSAICis seeking aSenior Modeling and Simulation Engineerto join our team inHuntsville, AL.The engineer in this position will planand execute modeling and simulation systems development to support the mission of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) ? Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC). You will need to possessknowledge of simulation methods for analysis of complex human-machine systems and training, anddesignand developsimulation systems and models of simulation objects. Duties may include developing and reviewing plans for system integration, designing and developing software related to the integration of simulation systems, and conducting testing and analyses of simulations operation in a distributed environment.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree and five (5) years or more of relevant experience
Required Skills:
  • Broad understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts related to simulation and training technologies.
  • Strong software development skills and the ability to apply them to develop technical solutions pertaining to simulation interfaces and integration.
  • Ability to analyze alternatives and apply judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Army training systems
  • Experience with Aerospace engineering
  • Experience with software development in C++ or C#
  • Experience with software development and modeling and simulation tools and interfaces such as Matlab, OneSAF, Image generators, DIS, CIGI, Perforce, JIRA
  • Experience with modeling and state estimation of dynamical systems
  • Experience with pathfinding
  • Experience with coordinate systems such as local tangent plane, EDEF, geodetic, etc.
