Job Description

Job ID:22003193The purpose of the Property Accounting Consultant is to ensure Property Accounting has an accounting subject matter expert on property, plant and equipment, which include balance sheet reconciliations, monthly expense variance analysis, and other research and project work that pertain to fixed assets. This role is expected to perform, manage and facilitate processes related to fixed asset accounting procedures for new additions and retirements. This involves providing details to cross functional stakeholders and coordinating the chain of events to implement. This is a remote position and can sit anywhere in the US.What Youll Do:

  • Prepare monthly fixed asset reconciliations including but not limited to making recommendations on how to resolve aged balances
  • Ensure financial accuracy by reviewing and analyzing and/or creating journal entries
  • Perform/analyze/review monthly fixed asset and retirement processes and related variance analysis including communication to leadership team through reporting
  • Extract and analyze data used to perform management reporting for various stakeholders, including analysis, troubleshooting anomalies, and explanation of results
  • Identify gaps/improvements in processes and articulate a solution that will help streamline solutions
  • Manage and prepare for fixed asset projects as necessary and collaborate with cross functional teams
Job RequirementsDo You Have:
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and productive relationships with cross functional departmental leaders and vendors
  • Strong data analytics and problem-solving skillset
  • Attention to detail and ability to decipher, explain and document complex processes for various stakeholder interests
  • Data management skillset including proficiency with MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of poperty accounting
Even Better:
  • Strong understanding of the telecom industry
  • Public accounting experience
  • Fixed assest/PPE experience
  • CPA preferred
Minimum Requirements:College degree and 5-7 years professional level experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or 9 years professional level related experience with 2-3 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.EEO Statement:Windstream is an equal opportunity employer.
