Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Program Analyst to join our team supporting the S3I program in Huntsville AL.SAIC is supporting the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) in continuation of the Improved Data Modem (IDM) sustainment and development. The IDM is a communication device for the Army rotorcraft digital fleet. It is an Airworthy hardware and software system. The S3I is supporting software sustainment for fielded IDM systems and an update to transition to the Aviation Mission Common Server multi-core implementation of IDM Software Application (ISA). As the Integrate Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) Lead you will be responsible for all aspects of program scheduling to include production & development programs. The IP&S Lead will also be required to develop proposal plans and schedules, baseline execution schedules, maintain the in-work schedules, perform critical path analysis and what-if planning and support the delivery of IPMR Format 6 deliverables. As the Scheduler, you will participate all aspects of IP&S activities and will execute the following to provide actionable, value added products to IDM Stakeholders:Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program Planning: Developing initial planning products (e.g. IMP, WBS, Master Phasing Schedule)
  • Program Scheduling: Development of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Detailed Scheduling & Change Management: Developing and maintaining lower level schedules
  • Project Management: Lead key program initiatives to improve execution.
  • Support complete software development lifecycle
  • In charge of the program IMS and serve as the technical lead for the IMS in developing, integrating and maintaining the IMS reporting to the Program Management team.
  • Work closely with the Team Leads, program leadership and Stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of the IMS with other key program plans and schedules such as the Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Master Phasing Plan, Critical Path Analysis, High Level Flow (HLF) and detailed schedules below the IMS.
  • Accountable for schedule compliance, assessment of schedule risk, identification of opportunities (including schedule margin planning) and providing robust/actionable performance reporting from the IMS to support and drive program management understanding and action.
  • Lead the integration of other schedules into the IMS to ensure the whole team is operating to the same rhythm and priorities.
  • Model driving program execution through quick turn generation of prospective schedule performance analyses, recovery/alternate scenario planning and improved schedule visibility/visualization to include ?What if scenarios?.
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:Education: Bachelors Degree and 6 years or more experience; Masters Degree and 4 years or more experience.Security Clearance: Must possess an active Secret clearance.Required Skills:
  • Schedule specific tools, such as MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan, etc
  • Working with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Schedule Integration and Schedule Analysis
  • Critical Path Analysis and Schedule Risk Analysis
  • Schedule Metric Analysis BEI, CPLI, SPI
  • Managing Risk and Opportunity in the IMS
  • DI-MGMT-81861 Integrated Program Management Report
  • 2+ years of experience with Schedule Planning tools such as MS Project, Open Plan Professional and/or Milestones Professional
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) with applying Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) requirements
  • Less than 10% Travel should be expected
  • Ability to work under a deadline
  • Strong desire to continually learn and improve
  • Proficient in MS Office
