Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is currently looking to hire an OS TeamLead to lead the Integrated Development Team located in Huntsville, Alabama.Job Overview:IDT Leads are responsible for all work produced by their Integrated Development Team (IDT) and are the tip of the spear for all development. They coordinate with team members, architects, other leadership, and customers to make our software actually work.Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs, data flows, use cases, component architecture
  • Requirements analysis and creation
  • Software implementation (development, unit testing, code review, versioning, tagging, repo ownership)
  • Milestone reviews and documentation
  • Risk Identification, Assessment, and Mitigation
  • Test plan and testing (TFT, Dry Run, FQT, PTR)
  • Prepare estimates and task scheduling (ROMs, Workbooks, JIRA)
  • Report weekly status in IPT Quad Charts and present at IPT bi-weekly
  • Build relationships and facilitate team members ability to be happy, productive, and progressing in their preferred career direction
  • Help to identify process and culture pain points and solutions, and work with leadership to make things better
  • Contribute skills, insights, and analysis to prospective team member interviews
  • Run the weekly Working Group (WG) for their team?s capability development
  • Facilitate team, leadership, and customer interactions as new capabilities are fleshed out
  • Present CONOPS, designs, UI mock ups and demo, and other checklist items for review as they become available
  • Coordinate efforts with other teams (internal and external)
  • Cybersecurity Analysis(STIG Checklist, Fortify Scans)
  • Safety Analysis (working with the Safety analyst)
  • Software & Hardware Dependencies / Parallel work with other teams as needed
QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelors with nine (9) years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.Required Clearance: Must have an active Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.Required Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team of software engineers in a developement environment
  • Must have experience facilitate scoping, design, and implementation of new capabilities with the teamincluding designs, data flows, use cases and component architecture
  • Extensive LinuxOS experience
  • Software implementation: development, unit testing, code review, versioning, tagging and repo ownership
  • Must have previous experience overseeing task planning, task scheduling and management
  • Ability to foster team culture by building relationships with colleagues, team, and leadership
  • Cybersecurity Analysis including STIG Checklist, and Fortify Scans
