Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is looking for a DEVOPS Engineer to supportthe NASA enterprise platform team providing services and platforms for application developers to design, develop, test, deploy and host enterprise web applications. The senior developer will be responsible for maintaining the existing services and platforms as well as designing and implementing new services and platforms as needed. This position requires deep knowledge of k8s/containers and related services running on-prem and on multiple clouds including AWS, GCP and Azure.Required experience:

  • Management of multiple enterprise-scale Kubernetes clusters
  • GitOps declarative configuration model and related tooling
  • Automating container image builds
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • SSO authentication/authorization
  • Security scanning tools ? SAST/SCA/DAST
  • API Gateways / Edge Routers
  • Linux system administration (specifically container-related)
  • Bash scripting
  • Python development for internal tooling
Preferred specific tools experience:
  • OpenShift
  • ELK stack
  • Kapitan
  • SonarQube
  • Ansible
  • Traefik & authoring Go plugins for same
  • SAML
  • OAuth2/OIDC
  • Gitlab CI/CD
  • Google Cloud Platform & its KMS service

QualificationsEducation and Experience:
  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
  • Years of experience accepted in leiu of degree.
