Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is currently looking to hire a Model Based Systems Engineer to support our Army programs located in Huntsville, AL!Responsibilities Include:

  • Uses MBSE tools and techniques to support requirements development, system design, and the development of use cases for selected systems.
  • Develops and maintains models using modeling languages such as Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM), and Integration DEFinition (IDEF).
  • Develops system models and creates representations using data architectures and data models to facilitate interoperability.
  • Implements and manages system architectures in the MBSE environment.
  • Supports the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software and hardware system integration testing, and performs analysis of integration results to assess system impacts.
  • Utilizes strong written, communication, and presentation skills, and works effectively in a team environment.
  • Reviews system engineering documentation to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate.
  • Participates in the development of trade studies to support the selection preferred design solutions and course of action alternatives in project development/product delivery.
  • Participates in project/program technical risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Analyzes and evaluates systems using MBSE artifacts.
  • Participates in system requirements reviews and creates/updates requirements specifications and technical documentation.
QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors and five (5) years plus years of experience in MBSEClearance: Must have an Interim Secret Clearance to start; US ciitizenship requiredRequired Skills:
  • Experience with MagicDraw 
  • Five to ten years experience system modeling and basic understanding of the System Modeling Language (SysML) 
  • Strong communication skills- particupates in weekly meetings with customers and other engineering groups
