Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is seeking an FPGA/Firmware Engineer to support testing and sustainment efforts in Huntsville, AL.Program Info:The S3I customer for this effort is the Tactical Aviation and Ground Munitions (TAGM) Project Office (PO), Program Executive Office (PEO) Missiles and Space. This effort will be in support of the Air-to-Ground Missile System (AGMS). The contractor will provide engineering support and technical expertise to include software engineering, suitability, supportability, sustainment and testing support for the software and firmware configuration items within the various missiles, trainers, test assets, and components of the AGMS.The selected candidate will provide software sustainment support with an emphasis on FPGA and firmware testing. Programming responsibilities include:

  • Modify and Maintain Code, including HDL Code
  • Develop and Run Test Scripts
  • Develop and Modify FPGA Test Procedures
  • FPGA modernization and obsolescence mitigation
  • Verify and Validate Code Builds
  • Create Build Environments
  • Collaborate with System Engineers and System Leads
QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors and nine (9) years of experienceClearance: Must have an active Secret Security Clearance to startRequired Skills:
  • Understand Full Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience Testing and Writing Test Scripts and Procedures for Tactical Systems
  • Experience tracing requirements to code to test procedures to requirements
  • Experience using FPGA development and test tools
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Ada, C++, MATLAB
  • Knowledge and Experience with Missile Systems
  • Experience with VxWorks and/or comparable operating systems
  • Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog
  • Experience with FPGA Test Bench Verification
  • Experience with DSPs and Software Defined Radios
  • Experience interfacing FPGAs with higher level applications running on embedded targets
