Job Description

DescriptionSAIC has an immediate need for a Fixed Wing Special Electronics Mission Aircraft(SEMA) Engineer to support Fixed Wing Project Office located onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.JOB DUTIES:

  • Will work with and facilitate allfunctions within the Fixed Wing Technical Division which includes, but are not limited to, airworthiness, system engineering, system architecture, configuration management, data management, quality assurance, test, survivability, reliability and maintainability, and communications, navigation, and surveillance.
  • Will work withinternal team members, functions, areas of expertise as well as external stakeholders/partners.

  • Duties require extensive and broad technical knowledge of the Fixed Wing fleet and technical standard operating proceduresand initiatives.
QualificationsREQUUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 9+ years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Experience with US Army/PEO Aviation initiatives.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain the interim Secret Security Clearance to begin working on the contract. Must be able to obtain the full Secret Security clearance. SAIC will assist with the process of obtaining the interim secret clearance for the qualified candidate.
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of PEO Aviation operations and initiatives which includeModel Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering (DE), and Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA).
  • Familiarity with PM Fixed Wing?s engineering and technical development, integration efforts, and Contractor Owned / Contractor Operated (COCO) efforts.
