Job Description

BASIC FUNCTIONResponsible to analyse and forecast ECDC financials to support financial decision making. Handles ECDC financial and banking transactions. Participate in the development, recommendation and implementation of change to accounting policies, procedures and systems. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and support the development and implantation of changes to the financial policies.  Job Scope:Incumbent is fully qualified with broad in-depth knowledge of expertise and working knowledge. Work is not supervised and incumbent may serve as team leader on medium size projects..  PRINCIPAL DUTIES:Function Description

  • Analysing financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions in order to make informed investment decisions.
  • Interpreting data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability, future trends in investment risks, and economic influences.
  • Maintaining knowledge and staying abreast of keep abreast of new regulations or policies that may affect the investments
  • Build, maintain, and update ECDC financial model.
  • Support higher management in developing pricing strategies for utilities and other services.
  • Apply advanced principles of finance to analyse financial and non-financial information
  • Facilitate communication and understanding between the field finance and operations functions and corporate Profit & Budget Analysis
  • Monitor the budget and any revised forecasts throughout the year
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and excel dashboard
  • Provides analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
  • Prepares external financial management reporting
  • Interpret financial data to assist management with strategic decisions
  • Performs other tasks as required.
