Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is currently looking to hire a Field Service Engineer ? Army UAS Training to provide software, and systems support for the Multiple Unified Simulation Environments (MUSE) systems developed by the Joint Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) for integrated UAS trainers ? located in Huntsville, Alabama.Position Overview:This position will require integration of software and hardware components, understanding of wired/wireless networking, and application of the systems development lifecycle for system sustainment.Field Service Representative to provide travel support for the Universal Mission Simulator (UMS) Trainer Systems to include installation, setup, checkout, and User training.This position requires up to 50% travel. Travel is typically 1 ? 2 weeks a month to locations anywhere CONUS and OCONUS.Job Responsibilities

  • Travel to military installations CONUS and OCONUS
  • Perform trouble shooting of Computing HW, SW and networks
  • Perform maintenance and system updates IAW established procedures
  • Perform software installations
  • Perform system upgrades and integration activities for training systems at CONUS and OCONUS locations
  • Perform operational training duties
  • Assist in training scenario development
  • Track hardware and software configurations
  • Maintain networking and firewall configurations
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor?s Degree and a minimum of two (2) plus years of relevant experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degreeRequired Clearance:Must have an Active Secret Clearance; US Citizenship requiredRequired Skills:
  • Experience with Windows, UNIX/Linux, VMware ESXi
  • Experience in Cisco Switches and firewalls
  • Experience in applying security controls to Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux is desired
  • Ability/desire to work in a highly dynamic and challenging environment a must
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with UAS programs is a plus
  • Scripting experience preferred
  • Technical writing
