Job Description

Basic Function: Incumbent is responsible for the security, maintenance, and services of work facilities to ensure that they meet the needs of the organization and its employees. Essentially looks after all the estate and buildings services that helps a business or other organization do its work.Job Scope:Incumbent is responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning. Generally, entail maintaining SPARK facilities and grounds of an organization, overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies, determining and scheduling repairs or renovation projects, and coordinating safety inspections. Facilities managers oversee a budget and must negotiate with outside vendors for supplies, repairs, and other measures.Principal Duties:

  • Manage the Facilities Management Agent Contract and monitor their performance and deliverables.
  • Manage the Hard Services Division (Estate, Buildings, and Asset)/Soft Service and the Business Support Division.
  • Management of Estate and Building management Service Providers.
  • Monitor and develop Estate & Buildings employees and assure knowledge transfer from FMA.
  • Manage key control on the individual buildings.
  • Manage overall operations and maintenance of SPARK estate & buildings.
  • Manage the interfaces between the different SPARK estate & buildings service providers
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Inspect SPARK facilities and buildings structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
  • Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors.
  • Managing SPARK estate and building budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Overseeing estate and building projects, renovations, or refurbishments.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences.
  • Develops KPIs and ensures consistency in reporting across Corporate Management System.
