Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Mounted Computing Environement / Mounted Mission Command (MCE/MMC) program located in Huntsville, AlabamaJob Responsibilities:

  • The DevOps Engineer serves as an escalation point for critical and complex issues, performs configuration and testing of products, assists with developing and documenting work processes and trains other members of the team.
  • Candidate will be expected to work in a small team environment to design, implement and test build processes to support the entire SW lifecycle.
  • Candidate will be expected to break up larger build systems into smaller, incrementally delivered components on tasks that have been assigned to them.
  • Candidate will be required to create and present design documentation, as well as participate in design reviews for build processes assigned to their team. Good communication skills are a must.
  • Candidate will be expected to participate in peer reviews of other teammates? implementation and design (e.g. code reviews).
  • Candidate will be expected to test developed SW in a lab environment with actual fielded hardware.
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience: Bachelors degree with five (5) years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.Required Clearance: Candidate must have an Active Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.Required Skills:
  • Experience with software test suites, CI/CD pipelines, automated software build and test
  • Experience working with SDLC tools (GitLab, JIRA, Jenkins)
  • Linux system administration and DevOps practices
  • Scripting language (like bash, perl, python, etc.) experience and capability
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication
  • Strong desire for experience with test automation packages
  • Security+ certification (or equal)perferred but not required
