Job Description

DescriptionSAIC is currently seeking an Accounting Analyst to support the equity and capital assets accounting team which is part of the General Accounting organization.  Primary area of responsibility will be accounting for stock-based compensation. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the work performed in General Accounting
  • Timely and accurate preparation of journal entries and other accounting analysis with required support to ensure accuracy and correct accounting interpretation
  • Reconcile general ledger account balances
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
  • Extract, compile, and analyze financial data
  • Communicate as directed with internal and external entities and subsidiaries to obtain required information and respond to inquiries
  • Assist with periodic and quarterly reporting and SOX compliance requirements
  • Ensure compliance with all SAIC accounting policies, SOX and FAR/DCAA requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation for areas of responsibility
  • Recommend process improvements to create greater efficiency
  • This position can be worked remotely 100% nationwide!
  • Other special projects as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting and 3 years of experience, or Masters/CPA and one year of experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Intermediate Excel skills including extensive use of pivot tables and various types of lookup formulas
  • Strong analytical abilities and keen attention to detail, including the ability to analyze and identify errors in large sets of data
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Familiarity with ASC 718 and ability to research accounting issues are a plus
Target salary range: $65,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
