The Paramedic is a qualified and registered professional who works under thesupervision of the Nurse Director to provide care for patients within the EmergencyDepartment (ED). He/ She provides basic and advanced life support and care to sickand injured persons in pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency care situations. TheParamedic is accountable for the assessment, visual triage, treatment, diagnosis,supply and administration of medicines, managing, and transporting patients in the EDwithin his/ her scope of practice. The paramedic actively provides support during codeblue incidents, drives/ staff?s AHMCs ambulance and is able to provide patient care intransit. He / she clearly communicates critical information to members of the care team,the patient and their family in English and Arabic. The Paramedic is expected to provideeducation and in-services as required, to other paramedic colleagues as well as to otherhealthcare professionals and to participate in other patient care activities as required.
