Job Description

1.Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluateÿperformance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.2. Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance trainingÿprograms.3. Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety &ÿhealth programs on premises or at project site locations.4. Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirmÿproject site fulfils industry, local, state guidelines and regulations.5. Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve asÿprimary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and caseÿmanagement.ÿ6. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.7. Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internalÿpolicies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.8. Provides technical support to project managers.9. Reports the status of projects to the Safety and Competence Director.10. Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.11. Will support the Safety and Competency Director and provide Safety Managementÿoversight at the project site level as well as serve as the primary on-site SafetyÿProfessional.12. Calculation and control of HSE budgets, staffing requirements and schedules; preparationÿof certification/classification programs and the preparation of the supporting HSEÿdocuments; coordination and execution of Safety Cases and support studies; QuantitativeÿRisk Assessments; Process Hazard Analyses; Fire Protection Specifications andÿEnvironmental Impact Assessments as required by certification or regulatory entities.13. Ensures project site adheres to company and regulatory HSE standards and guidelines14. Conducts onsite risk assessment and mitigation Develops and Customize Safety Plans forÿvarious jobsites that adhere to local and national/international codes Manages, trains andÿsupervises HSE employees other employees working in the HSE department on a projectÿthrough an expert knowledge of the Companies HSE standards, programs and goals15. Manages the application of HSE procedures as established by the Company on a projectÿsite or in an office through departmental training.16. Provides guidance, assistance and advice through interpretation of Company HSEÿpractices and procedures in relation to client requirements and current legislation andÿregulations Liaises as necessary between the Company, Client, insurance carriers andÿregulatory agencies in order to provide assistance and resolution in regard to audits,ÿremedial actions and other HSE related issues17. Makes decisions independently on engineering/scientific problems and methods relatingÿto HSE using advanced techniques, modifications and extensions of theories, precepts andÿpractices of the particular field, related sciences and disciplines18. Provides input for HSE permit preparation on projects by maintaining expert knowledgeÿof current guidelines and regulations19. Develops, customizes, and supervises the implementation of HSE programs, includingÿproject site-based HSE orientation, recognition and awards programs, to all levels ofÿproject staff to ensure a balance between productivity and the safety of project staff andÿvisitors in accordance with applicable laws and regulations Initiates, fosters and maintainsÿHSE standards and goals through company and/or project wide HSE programs toÿheighten awareness and ensure a safe and productive work environment20. Supervises the monitoring of HSE metrics in order to provides recommendations to HSEÿmanagement when necessary to meet Company HSE standards and goalOversees the development of approaches and solutions to HSE-related issues includingÿmanaging investigations of accidents and near-misses, summarization of findings, andÿrecommendation of strategies to prevent recurrences; supervises proposals and theÿimplementation of a course of action approved by the Company and the Client22. Oversees the collection, protection and data storage related to project incidents that mayÿresult in litigation Supervises the preparation, maintenance, retrieval, and communicationÿof records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatoryÿrequirements, including monitoring the application of HSE standards and goals23. Provides ride operational risk assessments to the client (prior to opening the event)24. Manages the oversight of the calibration register, COSHH register, safety data sheets andÿother related safety data that must be recorded according to local legislation/laws.25. Manages the safety officers work schedules, holidays and duties across multiple siteÿlocations (in conjunction with the relevant project manager).26. Participates in safety initiatives, meetings and inspections internally and with the clientÿwhen necessary.27. Reports any near miss, accident/dangerous occurrence to the client within an hour of itÿhappening (via email) to the client.28. Any accident, incident reports are to be put into the accident book and witness statements,ÿphotos and any other necessary documentation is to be collected and stored on the server.29. Must ensure the safety officers carry out site/ride/operational safety inspections daily andÿabide by our company policies and procedures.30. Must liaise with the client regarding any safety issues that are required to be rectified byÿthe site owners.31. Send daily duty report to the Safety and Competency Director when the park is closed.32. Responsible for writing, updating and the implementation of company policies andÿprocedures.33. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures34. Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics35. Research laws and legislation relevant to company scope of work and the country theÿwork is being implemented inÿ36. Highlight areas where training/certification must meet the standards37. Conduct health and safety inspections38. Recommend control measures and advise on the standard of PPE39. Attend courses/seminars run by external sources (where applicable)40. Keep up to date with changes in current legislation41. Reprimand any employee for failing to execute their health and safety responsibilities.42. Provide written instructions of work methods outlining potential hazards and precautions,ÿand ensure they are complied with.43. Understand and implement the company safety policy
