1.Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate˙performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.2. Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training˙programs.3. Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety &˙health programs on premises or at project site locations.4. Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm˙project site fulfils industry, local, state guidelines and regulations.5. Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as˙primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case˙management.˙6. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.7. Ensures project site adheres to company and regulatory HSE standards and guidelines14. Manages the application of HSE procedures as established by the Company on a project˙site or in an office through departmental training.16. Provides guidance, assistance and advice through interpretation of Company HSE˙practices and procedures in relation to client requirements and current legislation and˙regulations Liaises as necessary between the Company, Client, insurance carriers and˙regulatory agencies in order to provide assistance and resolution in regard to audits,˙remedial actions and other HSE related issues17. Makes decisions independently on engineering/scientific problems and methods relating˙to HSE using advanced techniques, modifications and extensions of theories, precepts and˙practices of the particular field, related sciences and disciplines18. Provides input for HSE permit preparation on projects by maintaining expert knowledge˙of current guidelines and regulations19. Develops, customizes, and supervises the implementation of HSE programs, including˙project site-based HSE orientation, recognition and awards programs, to all levels of˙project staff to ensure a balance between productivity and the safety of project staff and˙visitors in accordance with applicable laws and regulations Initiates, fosters and maintains˙HSE standards and goals through company and/or project wide HSE programs to˙heighten awareness and ensure a safe and productive work environment20. Oversees the collection, protection and data storage related to project incidents that may˙result in litigation Supervises the preparation, maintenance, retrieval, and communication˙of records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory˙requirements, including monitoring the application of HSE standards and goals23. Provides ride operational risk assessments to the client (prior to opening the event)24. Manages the oversight of the calibration register, COSHH register, safety data sheets and˙other related safety data that must be recorded according to local legislation/laws.25. Manages the safety officers work schedules, holidays and duties across multiple site˙locations (in conjunction with the relevant project manager).26. Participates in safety initiatives, meetings and inspections internally and with the client˙when necessary.27. Reports any near miss, accident/dangerous occurrence to the client within an hour of it˙happening (via email) to the client.28. Any accident, incident reports are to be put into the accident book and witness statements,˙photos and any other necessary documentation is to be collected and stored on the server.29. Must ensure the safety officers carry out site/ride/operational safety inspections daily and˙abide by our company policies and procedures.30. Must liaise with the client regarding any safety issues that are required to be rectified by˙the site owners.31. Send daily duty report to the Safety and Competency Director when the park is closed.32. Responsible for writing, updating and the implementation of company policies and˙procedures.33. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures34. Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics35. Research laws and legislation relevant to company scope of work and the country the˙work is being implemented in˙36. Highlight areas where training/certification must meet the standards37. Conduct health and safety inspections38. Recommend control measures and advise on the standard of PPE39. Attend courses/seminars run by external sources (where applicable)40. Keep up to date with changes in current legislation41. Reprimand any employee for failing to execute their health and safety responsibilities.42.
