To ensure that the projects construction activities are carried by getting construction phasecompleted on time and within respective budgets. Organize different construction teammembers in coordination with Project Manager as per the specifications and requirements of theproject. Work with PM and planning project unit to establish realistic construction activitymilestones.Operational Duties and Responsibilities- Abides by company by-laws including policies and procedures and proposes changes tothe above when necessary.- Abides by the authorities granted to the position as per the delegation of authoritystructure and any formal changes thereto.- Organize, plan, schedule and control the progress of construction field work for variousactivities.- Do all the best possible efforts to get construction completed on time, and within budget.- Expedite project construction activities by following directly with various teams involved.- Minimize costs for construction activities where possible.- Direct, look after and supervise/monitor IMCO construction staff working at the project.- Chair the construction meetings at site.- Take proper decisions as required by the nature of the ongoing construction needs,except on those matters which need to be discussed with the client, or direct supervisor(PM) before any action can be taken.Financial Responsibilities:- Prepare with PM Project Construction Budget and ensure abidance by it duringexecution.- Review all tender documents, specifications and drawings to ensure compliance duringconstruction.- Authorize payment of Certificates and invoices to suppliers and/or contractors.- Inform PM of any variance on site.- Prepare and issue construction progress reports.
