Job Description

Our luxury 5-star hotel in Kuwait is seeking a highly experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-end hotel setting. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the hotel, maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction, and maximizing profitability.Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the hotels financial goals and objectives
  2. Oversee all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance
  3. Manage and mentor a team of department heads, setting performance goals and providing regular feedback
  4. Ensure the hotel operates in compliance with all local, regional, and national laws and regulations
  5. Monitor guest satisfaction levels and implement strategies to improve service quality and customer experience
  6. Review financial reports and take appropriate action to address any variances or issues
  7. Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including guests, suppliers, and local authorities
  8. Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices
  9. Implement and maintain effective cost control measures to optimize profitability
  10. Ensure the hotel maintains high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  2. Proven track record of successfully managing a high-end hotel
  3. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
  4. Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with guests and stakeholders
  6. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the job
  9. Proficiency in industry-specific software and systems
  10. Fluency in English, both written and spoken
