Qualifications:? College degree in fashion design or any related field preferred? At least 5 years experience? Strong computer knowledge, including adobe illustrator and adobe Photoshop.? Strong leadership skills required.? Strong ability to hand sketch.? Strong design and conceptual skills.? Strong sense of trends, style and color.? Shape building skills required.? Thorough knowledge of raw materials, as well as, construction techniques.? Strong communication and organizational skills.? Understanding of merchandising as it relates to sales and store environment.Task Description:? Seasonal color & concepts creation? Design around 20 to 40 designs per week (depending on category)? Work closely with the graphic designers to guide them on the needs for the collection? Product development and materials research? Working closely with the buyer to ensure costs of products and commercial viability? Use computer-aided design programs (CAD) to create designs? Select fabrics, embellishments, colors, or style for each garment or accessory? Work with other designers or team members to create a prototype design monitoring (fittings, updates and approvals)? Present design ideas to the creative director? Market designs to clothing retailers or directly to consumers? Oversee the final production of their designs
