Kuwait - Al Ahmadi, Camp ArifjanJob SummaryAECOM has an opening for a Document Control Specialist/ Technical Writer in Kuwait.Under direction of Quality Manager and/or Lead Auditor, the Technical Writer / Document Control employee is directly responsible in handling, generating, storing and filling quality management system records created for the APS-5 contract. Responsible for the timely execution of controls needed to approve documents for adequacy prior to issue. Responsible for reviewing changed/revised documents to ensure that changes and the current revision status of documents are identified and effectively disseminated and communicated to all affected AECOM employees. Responsible to ensure that relevant versions of applicable documents are available at points of use. To ensure that documents of external origin determined by the organization to be necessary for the planning and operations of the quality management system are identified and their distribution controlled, and to prevent the unintended use of obsolete documents, and to apply suitable identification to them if they are retained for any purpose. The Technical Writer / Document Control employee will interface regularly with employees and senior management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:?Must be a U.S. citizen, able to pass deployment requirements and maintain eligibility to work in Kuwait?Possess a current United States Passport and able to obtain an NACI, able to gain access to United States and foreign military facilities or bases?Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology?Specialize in writing material regarding work methods and procedures?Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers?Reviews materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format and content.?Maintains records and files of work and revisions?Assist in laying out material for publication?Arrange for typing, duplication and distribution of material?Provides support in the operation of the organization's ISO 9001 program?Works with process owners to develop, document and revise technical work processes (SOP s, WI, Forms, and Process Maps)?Enhances communication by facilitating team meetings?Conducts document revision training as required?Ensures documents are compliant with corporate regulations, company SOP s, and directives?Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AECOM Quality Management System?Identify and advise leadership regarding problems within technical areas as required?Ensure Supervisor/Manager is aware of critical issues and able to make appropriate strategic decisions based on information supplied?Actively engage in promoting a workplace free from environmental, health and safety related hazards including the training and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment?Cross trains within the quality auditing program when required to ensure maximum flexibility and possession of technical skills?Performs all other duties as assignedMinimum RequirementsEducation: Documented High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience:? Three (3) documented years or more of related work experienceSpecialized Knowledge and Skills:?Musthave basic working knowledges of Microsoft Office and Word?Excellent communication skills along with professional demeanor that extends to all levels of the organization?Strong interpersonal skills and able to coordinate and collaborate with supervision to ensure processes are aligned?Must be a self-starter and capable of working independently without direct supervision?Possess qualities and the ability to articulate and effectively communicate directions to others?Required to work in extreme dusty environments with temperatures exceeding over 110 degrees for days at a time?Be able to work autonomously with U.S. or OCN personnel as well as US government personnelWork Environment, Physical Demands and Mental Demands:?Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively?Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.?Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures?Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditionsPreferred QualificationsN/AWhat We OfferWhen you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
