MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certifications: One year related experience may besubstituted for one year of education, if degree is required.Requires a Bachelor degree in Accounting or similardisciplineExperience:Approximately seven to ten years of progressively moreresponsible general accounting, accounts payable and finance experience,preferably in the government contracting sector or related industry.Skills:1. Extensive knowledge of US and international accountingstandards, accounting principles and practices. Knowledge of internationalaudit standards is a plus.2. Working knowledge of management accounting fundamentalsand demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge.3. Working knowledge of best practices in the professionalfield of accounting.4. Working knowledge of payroll, accounts payable andgeneral ledger processing, and their inter-relationships.5. Thorough understanding and working knowledge ofaccounting specific software, AS400 or Jamis preferred.6. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.7. Requires ability to communicate in English, both verballyand written, at an intermediate or advanced level.SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:None.
