Production Engineer

Job Description

? Responsible to take end to end ownership of technical decisions for the work of the shift in the plant;? Responsible for efficient plant management during the shift? Controls manpower of welding& finishing lines, allocates tasks for the shift and monitors performance of the team during the shift; ? Implements system and standards to ensure that production shifts runs consistently and achieve the required production and quality targets;? Responsible for supporting of quality management system for Tube Mill;? Requests from Tube Mill Manager all the necessary information / clarification / explanation to perform production tasks, planning activities, as well as information about all the planned changes and forecasts of the operating activities of the company; ? Clarifies all the identified deficiencies in the production of the organization to offer and to take measures to eliminate them;? Ensures implementation of the relevant ITP, MOC, API, ISO, customer specifications in all processes during production;? Devises and implements enhanced roll and machine setting practices and system to improve productivity, yield and quality;? Oversees all production processes on a daily basis and provides support and advice to the production foremen and Tube Mill Manager; ? Confirms weekly production schedules and the attendance and overtime records for all operators and sub-contracted labor;? Manages administration duties related to the production manpower: performance appraisals, attendance control, trainings &developing programs (for subordinated shift);? Coordinates daily with the maintenance and quality department to analyze and improve plant performance, quality and reliability;? Sets and maintains the required standards for safety and housekeeping within the pipe mill.Requirement:? At least Bachelor degree in engineering discipline? Minimum 10 years experience in steel pipe mill industry (ERWelding mill) ? Excellent communication and computer skills? Spoken level of English; Arabic is an advantage ? Ability to plan and schedule work
