Job Description

The Draftsman Quantity Surveyor plays a pivotal role in the construction and building industry, particularly in Kuwait. This position requires a blend of technical drafting skills and quantity surveying expertise to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both architectural drafting and cost estimation, enabling them to contribute effectively to various stages of construction projects. With a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 11 years of experience, the Draftsman Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, conducting cost analyses, and collaborating with project managers and engineers to deliver high-quality results.Responsibilities:

  1. Create detailed architectural and structural drawings using CAD software.
  2. Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates for various construction projects.
  3. Review and analyze project specifications and drawings to ensure compliance with standards.
  4. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues.
  5. Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract agreements.
  6. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  7. Conduct site visits to assess work progress and quality.
  8. Maintain accurate records of project costs and expenditures.
  9. Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and value engineering.
  10. Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic planning discussions.
