Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

Roles & ResponsibilitiesDesign and detailed engineering of API 650 and API 620 storage tanks.Review tender documents, client specifications, and design basis.Prepare design calculations for tank shells, roofs, bottoms, nozzles, wind girders, anchor bolts, and foundation loading.Prepare RFQs, Material Requisitions, Technical Specifications, BOQs, and Tank Design Reports.Design Cone Roof, Dome Roof, Internal Floating Roof (IFR), External Floating Roof (EFR), and Aluminium Geodesic Dome Roof tanks.Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, nozzle orientation drawings, plate arrangement drawings, and fabrication detailing.Review vendor drawings, FEA reports, and perform technical bid evaluations.Coordinate with Civil, Process, Piping, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams.Support fabrication, erection, hydrotesting, commissioning, and troubleshooting.Conduct site surveys and recommend repair or fitness-for-service solutions.Prepare as-built documentation and resolve technical queries.Codes & StandardsDesired Candidate ProfileStorage tank engineeringHydrocarbon storage terminalsTank fabrication and erectionWelding, inspection, and testingMaterial selection and corrosion engineeringVendor document reviewTechnical bid evaluationMechanical design calculationsEPC project coordinationStrong communication and problem-solving skills
