Job Description

Responsible for carrying out assigned operational work in line with safety and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP?s).Operation of the hydrocarbon process plant and equipment from a Central Control Room via DCS and field operations.Responsible for stabilizing Plant operations and controlling all process upset conditions.Execute startup, shut down and operating procedures for Process plant and Utilities (like compressors, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves, alarms, etc.Responsible for carrying out routine checks on equipment for abnormalities, to report defects noted in equipment and coordinate with the concerned staff.Arrange and supervise the collection of samples in various streams and deliver them to laboratory.Complete the procedure for handing over plant & equipment for maintenance.Receive chemicals and maintain the stock/consumption register and while following all HSE procedures and rules.Follow up on open work permits.Carry out duties as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer as and when required during emergencies, as per the Facility Response Plan.Communicate and follow the instructions of the Operations Supervisor to carry out duties efficiently and safely.Responsible for carrying out the equipment change over schedule.
