AV Testing & Commissioning EngineerJob Location : Abu DhabiJob type: Full timeJob Responsibilities :? To perform quality assurance checks on installations and identify any issues that need resolving, and work in close collaboration with the AV installation team and the project manager to ensure they are resolved.? Responsible for fault finding and technical resolution during the commissioning phase, escalating to Technical Manager where necessary.? Able to advise on and assist the installation team with onsite pre-commissioning tasks such as cable terminations and rack-build work.? To work through software control systems to identify programming snags.? Delivering system training to end users.? Perform maintenance visits, and ongoing technical support and provide advice and information to colleagues in the support team.? Communicate effectively to management and customers.? Review and update system schematics, cable schedules etc.; and ?as built? versions of the technical documents.? Feedback to the systems design team regarding products and design, and any other lessons learned on a project.Skills, Knowledge and Experience:To apply, you must have:? A positive attitude, a ?can-do?, ?team first? approach to your work.? Skills and experience that make you proficient in the commissioning of UC and AV systems.? Basic Programming & Configuration of DSPs, UC Systems, Switchers, BYOD, MTR, Room Booking Systems, Digital Signages, Control Systems and Stage lighting solutions.? A proven track record in field-based audio-visual commissioning tasks, maintenance, and operation.? IT Network knowledge: an understanding of AV systems? integration with existing IT systems is essential.Basic Requirement:? 3+ years of experience as an AV Engineer /Junior Programmer/ Commissioning Engineer in the Audio-Visual industry.? Education: Bachelor?s Degree (Equivalent)? Worked as a commissioning engineer with corporate/commercial clients and in multi-discipline project teams.? The ability and presence to liaise with clients, external consultants, third parties such as main contractors, distributors and manufacturers and project consultants.? An above-average level of understanding of UC & AV Systems.? A selection of current, relevant industry manufacturer accreditations.? Ability to configure DSPs, BYOD, Switchers MTR/Zoom Rooms, Control Systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX) and stage lighting solutions.
