Roles & ResponsibilitiesDesertboard Operations aims to produce high-quality and maximally efficient palm and wood chips by utilizing existing machinery, equipment, and workforce in accordance with requests and instructions, and to develop recommendations regarding quality, capacity, and efficiency. Knowing company policies and ensuring personnel learn them. Ensuring coordination among all personnel working in the Raw Material Yards Operation. Following and managing the process of manual segregation, cleaning, screening, and chipping of palm and wood chips after processing with relevant equipment, in accordance with the requests and instructions of the Desertboard Operations Department. Controlling segregation and chipping production according to approved material procedures and ensuring the most efficient use of production inputs and resources. Creating, reviewing, and submitting shift/daily/monthly production reports to Desertboard Operations.. Determining downtime days and durations for planned machine and equipment maintenance in consultation with other technical departments. Monitoring work done during shifts and taking necessary actions accordingly. Supervising the operation of all manual segregation and equipment and chipping production. Coordinating the most efficient use of raw material inputs and resources. Monitoring daily raw material stock levels and reporting them to Desertboard Logistics and Operations departments. Ensuring that necessary measures are taken to minimize unexpected downtime for all segregation and chipping machines. Developing improvement suggestions in terms of quality, capacity, and efficiency based on information received from the Quality Department and PSB Production Department, and taking and/or implementing measures to prevent quality deviations. Identifying bottlenecks in all segregation and chip production and conducting improvement studies to eliminate these bottlenecks. Ensuring process controls are carried out and reviewing processes to ensure the continuity of quality raw material segregation, chip production, and chip loading processes onto related trucks, etc. Participating in investment projects for new segregation units when necessary. To comply with occupational health and safety, fire safety, and environmental regulations and workplace OHS documents, and to use necessary personal protective equipment. To report hazardous issues and incidents related to occupational health and safety, fire safety, and the environment to supervisors and the Occupational Safety Department. To perform other duties assigned by senior management.Desired Candidate Profile1. EDUCATIONGraduation from a 4-year university program in tree science or wood/forest industry engineering.2. EXPERIENCEAt least two years of experience in wood-based chip production machinery and equipment, and production experience in facilities.3. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITIONGood command of the English language.Having good knowledge of MS Office, high organizational ability, good time management in problem-solving, strong communication skills, and guiding subordinates towards solutions. Need to possesses knowledge of crisis and time management.
