Performs approved NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) inspection including fluorescent penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current, X-Ray, and visual to document the servicing and repair of gas turbine engines, aircraft components, parts or accessories in accordance with the Repair Station Manual, manufacturers specifications, approved technical data, Company and Customer rules and regulations, policies/procedures.Major duties and responsibilities are :1. Sets up equipment, prepare components for NDT inspection fully utilizing available equipment and processes including ensuring all equipment is in full working order by carrying out necessary daily checks.2. Plans workload ensuring schedule times are achieved, in liaison with Production/Engineering teams.3. Conducts Non-Destructive Testing by visual inspection, radiography, ultrasonic, eddy current, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing.4. Evaluates results and makes recommendations to correct deficiencies as appropriate.5. Performs Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and inspections of various non-metallic (composite) and metallic materials, parts, assemblies, or structures utilizing a variety of NDT instruments, methods and techniques, certifies the structural integrity of assigned aircrafts and all associated equipment.6. Maintains all NDI equipment within guidelines of operator responsibilities.7. Reads and interprets customer and manufactures Technical Orders and other specifications to determine feasibility and methods of inspecting aircraft and/or components.8. Completes required inspection documents for compilation of statistical data as required.9. Prepares and maintains all forms and records in accordance with OEM and Customer regulations or any other applicable standard.10. Requisitions and maintains shop and bench stock consumables for all applicable NDT disciplines.11. Train host nation personnel on the proper use and maintenance of the NDT equipment.12. Responsible for tools and equipment inventory/calibration schedule assigned to NDI shop.13. Perform any other related tasks assigned by Supervisor.
