Roles & ResponsibilitiesAchieve high standards of safe and pollution-free operations of vessels by ensuring that company policies related to Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality Assurance (HSEQA) are effectively implementedOverall management of assigned vessels including communication with all stakeholdersEnsure compliance to owners and charterers requirementsClose monitoring of Marine and Technical Operations, daily maintenance and repairsBudgeting and control, surveys, certification, inspections and dockingKeep abreast of international regulations / legal requirements and ensure assigned vessels complyProvide technical assistance and advice to shipsCarry out periodical technical and operational compliance audits and ensure vessel readinessAssist in investigations of all insurance related mattersLiaise closely with Procurement team for sourcing technical and operational supplies at economical and competitive ratesPropose annual operating budget for assigned vessels considering forthcoming repairs, statutory, Flag and Port requirements and maintain vessels within budgetsClosely monitor and review vessel's conditions to ensure compliance with Port State Control and Oil Majors regulationsEffectively and efficiently carry out routine vessel inspections, dry-docking and major repairsPlan and implement corrective actions for defects and ensure compliance with planned maintenance scheduleMonitor and ensure all applicable vessel certifications are valid and that surveys/renewals are planned timelyEnsure fleet vessels performance is within charter party requirements and Company goalsUndertake technical related assignments and projects as and when requiredFrequent travel overseas up to 120 days or more to attend vessels in various ports worldwideDesired Candidate ProfileHolder of COC Class 1 (Unlimited FG)Must have sailed as Chief Engineer on Oil/Chemical Tanker vessels (Foreign Going Vessels)Minimum 3 years experience in Senior Officer Rank on Foreign Going VesselsProficient in PMS, ISM, PSC, Flag & Class requirementsPreferably 2 years previous working experience handling Foreign Going Vessels as Technical Superintendent.
