Grounded by our core values and inspired by our world-class people, we are committed to being a trusted business partner to those we serve.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe role is responsible to supervise the research and development laboratories of the Drilling Fluids product line, to control the processes and ensure the correct operation of laboratory operations, research and development of technologies for drilling fluids.Support the Geozone Business Development Strategies and performs technical presentations for different clients, execute laboratory administration tasks and research and development projects. Regularly evaluates the status of a project or market, establishes future action plans and provides support focused on the priority areas of the market and customer requirements to improve the visibility of the product line, maximizing performance through sales opportunities. direct sale of integrated projects and coordinated business development strategies for Weatherford.QUALIFICATIONSRequired :Minimum of 15 years of operational experience in Drilling Fluids, including 10 years of experience as a Laboratory Coordinator.Must have university degree.Must be able to communicate effectively in English.Knowledge of the Drilling Fluids market, customers and operations.Good general knowledge of all Weatherford disciplines.Specific knowledge and experience in drilling fluidsEffective communication skills (including verbal, written and technical / commercial presentations)Demonstrated ability to work cross-over to define, execute and meet objectivesDevelop and deliver presentations in a professional and effective manner by: developing technical presentations for clients.Preferred :Degree in Chemical or Petroleum EngineeringPOSITION SPECIFIC DETAILSDevelop basic understanding of the Drilling Fluids Market for each Geozone.Know the different types of fluids applied in the operations of the different geozones.Know the procedures that will be applied in the development of their tasks.Application and review of technical reportsDevelopment technical presentations.Provide technical support to the country and customer management.Report deviations to the Global Technical Manager on the analyzes carried out in the R & D Laboratory.Review of quality analysis of the products of the different types of fluids.Load control of certificates of quality analysis of suppliers and products in Share Point.Development of research projects and development of fluid systems in conjunction with the Global Technical ManagerCoordinate the necessary resources for the proper functioning of the R & D laboratory.Verify compliance with maintenance programs, calibration of laboratory equipment and field equipment and its registration in TMDE.Control the traceability of the equipment in operation.Provide continuous operational support to the client to make decisions.Provides leadership and operational discipline to the work team, establishes high expectations of behaviors consistent with our Code of Business Conduct, the objectives of HSE and SQ and for the execution of projects / activities.Conduct periodic safety inspections and develop appropriate safety standardsProvides technical leadership and support in a variety of topics related to fluid analysis (WBF and OBF), including products, applications and other processes.Identify possible improvements in operational practices and technological advances in equipment and / or services that may improve the profile and / or capacity of Weatherford to increase revenues, margins and opportunities.Any other delegated responsibility in accordance with the instructions of the Global Technical Manager within the specified period of time, in a safe and efficient manner.Know and understand Weatherford project management best practices, Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
