1.Specialist, Well ControlDescription : ? Represents technical authority for all well control matters in ADNOC Onshore and acts as a Contract Administrator for all contracts related to well control.? Evaluates well plans and data to detect potential problems, and to recommend corrective actions to ensure well control practices are well implemented within ADNOC Onshore Operations. Also, provides support and expert advice on issues related to drilling, work over and well intervention, pressure control equipment, completion, wire line, coiled tubing and snubbing.? Assures equipment?s inspection and testing programs are carried out in a timely and effective manner. Review and ensure integrity of all well control equipment including BOP pressure/function testing, certification, and maintenance program to identify shortfalls across ADNOC Onshore rig fleet. Keep detail record of well control equipment?s specifications and condition for all ADNOC Onshore Rig fleet.? Review and maintain a Well Control Standard Operating Procedures SOP?s, best practice and ADNOC Code of Practice (COP) for use throughout drilling and work over operations. Ensures that Emergency Response Plans are up to date and effective incorporation with all Stakeholders. Provides guidance and aid in the development of Well Specific Contingency Plans as required.? In case of any unplanned well control accident/incident he will take prompt remedial action as necessary to safeguard life, environment and minimize assets damage. Also, leads well control incident investigation through defined Task Force.? Conduct frequent audits / inspection related to procedures and equipment?s of well control on rig site and advise on the corrective actions for all ADNOC Onshore rigs fleet; in accordance to the policy and procedures, and with reference to the API latest standards, manufacturer's recommendations and best industry practices. Also, examines drilling crew awareness and competency level / program to identify shortfalls.? Review technical papers submitted for Technical conferences in collaboration with all stake holders.? Participates and support any joint industry task force in ADNOC and GCC activities dealing with Well Control aspects.? Participates directly and indirectly in technical staff development (training, coaching, career development?). Assists in developing specialized well control training for rig-site Supervisors, as well as, for Drilling and Completion Engineers.? Participate in peer reviews, workshops and technical events. Also, provides and share lesson learned, knowledge and best practices from industry sources internally and with ADNOC, Shareholders, and other OPCOs. Keep up to date to industry developments, emerging new technologies and opportunities to overcome drilling challenges. Job Requirements Minimum Qualification :? B. Sc degree in Petro ? Technical discipline. Advanced degree is preferable.? Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills? 10 year?s of experience in Drilling Engineering (design, analysis and optimization) and 5years? experience in well control troubleshooting ? International experience is preferable.? Well Control Certified from IADC or IWCF or equivalent? Evidence of Authoring and/or Co-authoring Technical Publications in Petroleum journals and/or conference proceedings; preferable peer reviewed.? Familiar with industry standards, specifications, codes, and documentation related to well control equipment?s.
