About the Role:We are seeking a seasoned Server & Storage Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade server and storage solutions, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and robust security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support critical business applications and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain VMware virtualization environments using vSphereDeploy and manage Dell EMC VxRail hyperconverged infrastructureConfigure and administer SAN and NAS storage arrays, including provisioning, zoning, and performance tuningInstall, configure, and support physical and virtual servers running Windows and Linux operating systemsMonitor system health, perform capacity planning, and optimize resource utilizationTroubleshoot hardware, storage, and virtualization issues to ensure minimal downtimeImplement backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutionsDevelop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating proceduresCollaborate with network, security, and application teams to integrate server and storage solutionsParticipate in change management, patching, and upgrade activitiesProvide on-call support and escalate incidents as neededSkillsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldMinimum of 8 years? experience in server and storage engineeringExpertise in VMware vSphere virtualization technologiesHands-on experience with Dell EMC VxRail hyperconverged platformsProficiency in SAN environments (Fibre Channel, iSCSI) and NAS solutionsStrong knowledge of enterprise server hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco)Experience with Windows Server and Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing)Proven ability to perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshootingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent certificationDell EMC Proven Professional (EMCISA, EMCIE) or similar storage certificationExperience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible)Familiarity with cloud integration (AWS, Azure) and hybrid architecturesITIL Foundation or advanced IT service management certificationProject management experience or PMP certificationKnowledge of backup and recovery tools (Veeam, Commvault)
