Job Description

Senior Contracts Manager Abu Dhabi, UAEParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Contracts Manager to join our team. In this role you will get to apply your expert skills to lead and oversee the contracts department at the Abu Dhabi Sector and play an essential role ensuring that proper contract administration controls are applied and improved throughout the project life from bid to close out.What Youll Be Doing:

  • Participates in Division, Company, and Corporate strategic planning activities for specific projects (e.g., risk assessment, bid/no bid analysis, participation in business plan development, etc.).
  • Provides technical guidance to assigned personnel and ensures proficiency and timeliness of contract administration. Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as Company and project needs arise.
  • Recruits, interviews, and evaluates prospective employees.
  • Hires, offers personnel development, conducts performance evaluations, counsels, takes corrective action as required, and approves terminations.
  • Ensures that new employees receive orientation in company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with Division and project management to ensure proper support in proposal preparation, as well as contract negotiations and administration.
  • Collaborate with Division and Project Management in the development of strategic plans to encourage project success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Reviews requests for proposals to identify risks and contractual terms not conforming to Company policy.
  • Interact with client and address all inquiries related to commercial and contract related issues in order to maximize the profitability of projects.
  • Negotiates the more difficult, complex, or sensitive issues with clients.
  • May represent the Company at government procurement regulatory and policymaking committee hearings and at industry association committees dealing with Federal Procurement Policy initiatives that will have an impact on the industry.
  • Provide support and guidance on all contract and commercial issues within the projects and ensure that contract and commercial staff attains their maximum potential.
What Required Skills Youll Bring:
  • Bachelors degree in quantity surveying or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of prime contract administration experience ideally in large scale infrastructure projects
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and negotiation of prime contracts
  • Qualified and chartered by a recognized international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
