Responsible for the repair, maintenance and optimization of rig equipment in collaboration with the Rig Engineer.Key Responsibilities/Duties? Ability to inspect, trouble-shoot, repair and prepare inspection draft reports? Computer skills and technical memos writing skill? Strict adherence to all quality and safety standards/procedures? Shall have the technical competence and training to preform preventive maintenance inspections, API CAT-II, CAT-III & CAT IV on various drilling rig equipment not limited to mud pumps, draw-works, rotary table, traveling block, crown block, iron roughneck etc.? Able to maintain equipment/tools log, quality and inventory control? Good understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems and be able to read, understand and perform jobs based on manuals, drawings and API recommended practices.? Be willing to work in harsh rig environment/weather conditions and will work with multi discipline team without supervision.? Be able to prepare tools and consumable list according to scope and provide sketch to fabricate special tools if necessary. Specialized Knowledge ? Conversant in MS Office? Hands-on experience in the overhaul and repair of all rig equipment.Ability & Skills? Good knowledge of various technical & quality standards on rig equipment and their appropriate application on Drilling Industry.? Good knowledge of various brands of the Rig and Drilling Equipment, Sizing of the Rig and Drilling Technology.? Good Knowledge of Computer software skills. Particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, AutoCAD and Acrobat.? Fluency in spoken and written English.Experience? Minimum of 15+ years of working experience on various offshore and onshore drilling rig equipmentAcademic Qualifications? H.N.D or similar in Mechanical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering.
