Project ManagerMake a difference every dayThe Job OpportunityThe Project Manager (PM) will lead the team and have an overall responsibility for the delivery of project services across the New York University Abu Dhabi FM contract. The PM will manage the technical team consisting of Project Engineer, tradesmen, assistants and sub-contractors from the Estates Department including other key support staff providing guidance and direction as required. The position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Serco technical delivery standards, risk mitigation and achievement of contractual targets of quality, safety and service.Reason for roleThe role is essential in delivering building related projects and across all hard services.Key accountabilities * Planning and coordination of all building related project deliverables across the New York University Abu Dhabi contract. * Receive project requirements from clients and stakeholders and develop these into schemes and specifications and compile budgets. * Survey existing installations and produce recommendations for improvement. * Liaise with other departments to create the annual Lifecycle programme. * Produce and agree programmes of work and construction phase plans. * He/she will be responsible for managing the resources appropriately to ensure that tasks are carried out in line with the specification and programme. * Will be required to liaise and negotiate with any relevant 3rd party professional engineers as required. * Facilitate any inspections with ADCD or other statutory bodies. * Specify materials and develop budgets, monitor and control costs. * Meet the Key Performance Indicators (KPI?s) deliverables as per the contract Service Level Agreements (SLA?s). * Manage the relationship with sub-contractors and negotiate proposals. * Production of progress reports, O&M documentation to the required standards. * Support, and undertake other tasks as directed by the General Manager.What we are looking for in our candidates:The Project Manager should have proven experience in civil/construction related delivery, with emphasis on building projects/refurbishments and in particular complex lifecycle programmes.Have good planning abilities, an analytical approach to problem solving and a good knowledge of built environment technology.Additionally he/she must be conversant with the requirements of all current relevant legislation, Abu Dhabi building codes and international standards (ISO).The PM must be a good communicator at all levels with the ability to demonstrate strong technical knowledge, advice, and guidance to support the client and key stakeholders.
