JOB SUMMARYThe Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction activities across project sites. This role ensures that projects are executed according to design, technical specifications, quality standards, and within approved timelines and budgets. The Project Engineer works closely with project-related teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure smooth project delivery.RESPONSIBILITIESPlan, monitor, and execute engineering tasks in alignment with project requirements.Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and authorities for design approvals.Coordinate with office the necessary shop drawings needs on site.Review and interpret drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance.Control and coordinate the activities as directed towards the execution of the assigned package using a large construction crew made of various trades.Liaise with all involved site staff to ensure the availability of plant, equipment, manpower and materials required to execute his part of project in coordination with Project manager.Issue look ahead schedules.Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain smooth project execution.Assist in resolving site-related issues and provide technical guidance.Support procurement by evaluating materials, equipment, and suppliers.Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, technical reports, and RFIs.Monitor project progress and conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to quality and safety regulations.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.10 years of experience in construction project engineering in UAE.Strong understanding of UAE construction codes, regulations, and standards.Knowledge of Abu Dhabi Municipality and regulatory authority requirements.
