Job Description

Project Controls Director Parsons is looking for a talented Project Controls Director to join our team! In this role, you will get to lead a team of professionals developing and managing program schedules, costs, and risks, document controls, as well as implementing reporting systems.

  • Develop/update Project Controls plans and procedures.
  • Develop/implement/execute the schedule, risk, document controls, and reporting for the Program.
  • Responsible for providing the tools and systems necessary to manage effectively and proactively, control, and report on cost and schedule activities.
  • Support the Program Director and client with proactive advisory regarding delivery risks and recommend claims avoidance approaches and alternatives.
  • Implement a standardized suite of cost and schedule reports that enable Program senior management to make data-driven decisions.
  • Perform trend analysis and actively evaluate project schedule performance to identify potential risk areas, validate forecasts, and communicate those to Program stakeholders.
  • Lead project controls studies that enable rapid decision-making from Program management.
  • Participate in the assessment of the required program staff, lead the assessment of required project controls staffing, and interview and evaluate new candidates as required. Provide evaluation of existing staff members and develop a training program to close the gaps in knowledge.
  • Recommend project control requirements to the client to be included in the Design and Construction Supervision Consultant and Contractor tendering packages.
  • Participates in the internal and client-requested lesson-learned workshops aimed at continuous improvement of program/project delivery and further differentiating Parsons in the global marketplace.
  • Support implementation of PMIS across the Program.
  • Coordinates execution of effective Project Risk Management across the Program.
  • Be responsible for Internal Parsons Cost management including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction Management from a Western University
  • 20+ years of post-graduate experience in major Infrastructure Projects
  • Extensive experience with Project Management Consultancies
  • Good knowledge of the design process and construction methodologies
  • Knowledge of applicable Project Controls software and tools.
